What to expect

You lie on a table that moves through the scanner. You may be asked to hold your breath briefly. Some exams use contrast.

Before your visit

Ask whether your study requires contrast or specific preparation. Tell the team about pregnancy, previous contrast reactions, and relevant medical conditions.
